Modern wedding ceremonies can be as traditional or individual as you want them to be.

The marrying couple can enter separately or together; be given away or not; have a formal 'processional' where the respective bridal parties precede them down the aisle with a 'recessional' back up the aisle after the ceremony; a mix of all these or something completely different - what ever appeals to the couple getting married.
